D-Day Veteran Photo Shoot & Life behind the Lens

D-Day Veteran Photo Shoot & Life behind the Lens

At last, I have time to write a short blog. It has been a crazy few months, establishing my business, projects, creating a website and getting social platforms to a point where I am happy.

Weston-super-Heroes

My Weston-super-Heroes project has been amazing, I have me so many incredible people from the volunteers at the RNLI to a 100-year-old D-Day veteran, now the only still left in Somerset, and what an incredible man he is! I have truly been humbled by people’s kindness and willingness to assist in my project all of which will be used for a qualification in the not-too-distant future. I have so many images now, that I will be hoping to arrange a small exhibition later in the year. Super Heroes from so many services including:

  • Royal Navy
  • Royal Air Force
  • British Army
  • Midwife Nurse
  • Coast Guard
  • RNLI
  • Psco’s
  • Police Officers
  • Palliative care nurse
  • Military Police
  • Special Constables
  • RE:ACT
  • Alzheimer society
  • Anaesthetist
  • Fire Brigade
  • BARB, Burnham area rescue boat

I really love my portrait sessions, but I also love being a wedding photographer. I have met some amazing couples and at times this has been incredibly emotional. Each couple as unique as the next and with their own amazing stories. I have been made welcomed, and made to feel part of their day, and not just as photographer. I have made some amazing new friends along the way.

I have also worked with some fantastic professional models, all of which are down to earth and hard working. These girls work hard at what they do, and perfected their art, and it is an art over years. We have had some real laughs, and a good old chatter putting the world to rights. The fact they know how to pose and help the creativity in shot is quite outstanding, they can make a simple shot become quite incredible. I can not recommend with a pro highly enough; it is investment in my opinion.

I can not wait to see where the next few months will take me and what opportunities will come my way, and I look forward to sharing them all with you.
